About the Position:
- Passion for experiential learning, travel, and working with teens
- Experience working with youth (12-17 years old)
- Ability to perform as a role model, team-player mentality, responsible, independent problem solver
- Physical and mental stamina
- Willingness to work unusual hours with limited time off
- At least 21 years old within the calendar year
- Some knowledge of Arizona, California and Nevada
- Able to attend a staff training virtually
- Staff who can commit to two summers will have preference
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Summer Travel Guide to lead a transformative 21-day trip for a group of teens. You will work alongside staff members. The trip combines outdoor adventures, urban exploration, meaningful service projects, and engaging cultural activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead hikes and outdoor activities in Zion National Park, The Grand Canyon, and Yosemite National Park.
- Provide insights and navigation for city visits to San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego,Las Vegas, and Sedona.
- Support participants in service projects that foster community engagement and learning.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants, including providing first aid when necessary.
- Collaborate with staff to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Zion, The Grand Canyon, and Yosemite National Parks.
- Familiarity with San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Sedona is a strong plus.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification(Wilderness First Aid preferred).
- Experience working with teens in outdoor, educational, or camp settings.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for adventure and fostering meaningful connections.
